Chad Karger |
Chad Karger is the founder/director of BetterDays. He is an author and former lead pastor at Ecclesia church in Houston, Texas. Having grown up in the home of a pastor and having served in the local church for 17 years, he has a realistic understanding about the demands upon the lives of ministry leaders and pastors. He holds a masters degree in biblical counseling from Colorado Christian University. |

| Meeka Karger |
In addition to being Chad's wife for more than 20 years, Meeka is his co-laborer in every way. She is the mother of their three children (15,13,9). She is available on a limited basis to meet with wives of church and ministry leaders. Also, she is a certified personal trainer (National Association of Sports Medicine) and can help you chart a course of physical health and well-being. |
Jeremy McQuown |
Jeremy has been in ministry for over 10 years. He has served in a number of different functions within the local church from youth pastor, associate pastor, and worship leader, and most recently as an elder in a church plant in Houston, Texas. He has also taken part in and led short-term mission trips in different parts of the world. He holds a mster's degree in Christian counseling and has been involved in one on one counseling ministry for almost 5 years. He is married to Sarah. They have a daughter, Sophia, and a son, Newton, who is due to be born in May. |
| Mel Karger | Senior Guide and Advisor Mel has over 30 years of experience in serving the Gospel through local church work, working with Christian camps, and, now, working in a downtown mission in Ft. Worth, Texas. He provides the cross-generational perspective in his efforts at BetterDays. He serves leaders who are managing local, missional efforts as well as young leaders who are just embarking on a life of service in the church. His decades of experience are a valuable asset. |
Patrick Wimberly |
BetterDays Guide focused on total health and wellness issues for leaders Patrick Wimberly has worked with BetterDays since its inception providing leadership on our Odyssey trips and Discovery retreats. His experiences in serving the local church has given way to a passion for healthy leaders in mind, body, and spirit. Patrick is also our webmaster and content manager.
